The SoLo 2nd Grade developmental program consists of a combination of four instructor-led player clinic sessions and a minimum of 8 scrimmage games - a combination of 3v3 half court and 5v5 full court coach-officiated scrimmage games. No scores or standings are kept, and the goal is to build skills and introduce the kids to the game of basketball in a fun environment!
The SoLo 3rd Grade Developmental program consists of a combination of two instructor-led player clinic sessions, 2 scrimmage games, and at least 8 regular season games. Game scores and standings are kept.
Player Clinic Sessions
Player clinics are run by a professional trainer hired by the league. The clinics sessions are designed to provide a foundation for each player to begin learning the game of basketball. There will be two player clinics to kick off the season; and two additional sessions at the beginning of January and February for the second graders. Coaches are encouraged to assist the trainers during these clinic sessions.
Teams are formed based on the elementary school and/or neighborhood that they attend. Players are assigned to teams by the commissioner at the beginning of the season.

Season runs mid-November through mid-March. Player Clinics are scheduled for the first Saturday of the season (mid-November), and each of the first Saturdays in December, January (2nd Grade Only) and February (2nd Grade Only). 2nd Grade Scrimmage games are scheduled on Saturdays from December through March. 3rd Grade scrimmages are held in December, and the Regular Season begins the first Saturday in January and continues through the first weekend in March.
