High School (Grades 9-12)

All games will follow National Federation of High School (NFHS) Rules with the following exceptions:   

Freshmen and JV (Grades 9-10)

  1. Rim Height:  10'0"
  2. Free Throw Line:  15' Standard
  3. Ball Size: Girls: 28.5", Boys 29.5"
  4. Game Type:  5v5, Full Court Game
  5. Length of Quarters:  7 minute standard clock
  6. Timeouts:  3 Full timeouts per game
  7. Defensive Restrictions:
    1. Full Court Press is allowed as long as the team is not ahead by more than fifteen (15) points
  8. Offensive Restrictions:
    1. Isolation Plays are prohibited.  Isolation plays are defined as a play where all offensive players except the ball handler are sent outside of the three point area during the play. First penalty will be a warning; subsequent penalties will result in a Team Technical Foul against the coach.
  9. Substitutions:  No restrictions. Players check in at scorer’s table.
  10. Overtime:  First OT period is 3:00 standard clock, followed by untimed sudden-death (first team to scores wins the game). No additional timeouts are granted – timeouts can be used if the team has any remaining.
